An organisation cannot refer clients to us until a referral agreement has been signed and those staff member(s) responsible for making referrals have been briefed by an orientation session. Completed applications are reviewed by Dress For Success Dublin staff. Once an organization’s application is approved the organization will sign a formal referral agreement.

A prerequisite of being referred is that each woman must have already secured a job interview. On the first visit, volunteers help our clients to pick out a suit and accessories for their interview. Not only does a professional appearance influence the final decision of a potential employer, but it also fosters confidence in the woman wearing the suit. This self-assuredness helps to guarantee that our clients will be fully prepared to go on an interview, ready to answer and ask questions, and are more likely to secure meaningful employment.

During and after the suiting process, clients are also offered job search support through the Career Center and Going Places Network, mentoring and membership in the Professional Women’s Group (PWG), among other employment retention and career development programs. Once a client has secured employment, she is invited to return to our offices to receive up to a week’s worth of office-appropriate clothing.
